José Zea is a designer, inventor and researcher from McGill University. He believes in innovation as a main weapon of change. At the early age of 18 years old, he co-founded the award-winning innovation laboratory LAB1, granting him a chair on the top-20 young innovators of Colombia. Additionally, he has received awards from the University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, McGill University and he is holding a Joseph Armand Bombardier fellowship as one of Canada’s top researchers. In the past four years, he participated in projects in the United States, India, Japan, Switzerland and Canada.
