$31 billion worth of food is wasted annually. Meanwhile, over 4 million Canadians still suffer from food insecurity. Diverse solutions are implemented in Montreal, however, people really needing it are not always the ones benefiting. Food For All will reduce that gap by linking stores with organizations. Providers (stores) share the quantity of food waste on the platform at a low price and for a limited amount of time. Receivers (organizations) purchase the food needed; however, if no request is made in the imparted time, the food will be automatically given for free at a non-profit organization. The process encourages stores to stop waisting while helping.
