Sphères d'activité: Education – enseignement Entrepreneuriat Technologies

Biology is hard and complicated. We're finding ways to make it a lot easier, and a lot more fun. Join us and learn to make things using biotechnology. You can work together on big ideas, and products that you can take home. Our goal is to create a community that is focused on discovering or building great and inspiring things using biotechnology. Some projects may focus on making a big discovery, inventing a new technology, learning something new about our local environment, creating a new art piece or developing a new product. Team members can be coming from any background, and experienced mentors volunteer to support the teams. Teams present their work as demos or product sales.

Lead Coordinator

We are looking for artists or scientists in biotechnology who are interested in finding new ways to teach, to learn and to create projects in biotechnology and other sciences. Your role on this team will be to teach young scientists, form teams and to create projects of your own that can be in arts or startups. These core members will be in charge of leading the organization, recruiting members, coordinating new projects, hosting events, and improving lab facilities.

Art/Design Mentor

You will be mentoring young scientists and teams in artistic and design aspects of their projects. Some of these projects may be entirely artistic, and others will be focused more towards product design or communication. If you have experience in art or design and have an interest in learning about biotechnology, this is a perfect role for you.

Scientific Mentor

We're looking for people experienced in biotechnology who are happy to join our group and inspire teams to work on their unique projects. You'll be helping teams with technical questions, which can be about a new invention, artwork or even a product.

Project Creator/Member/Inventor

No experience necessary, just creativity and imagination. Got a crazy new idea in biotech that you want to try out? Or a real life problem that can be solved by genetic engineering? Or maybe an idea for a new artistic medium based on living things? Our goal is to introduce you to biotechnology and what it can be used for.
